VINCENT MATTHEW McDONALD Peacefully, on Thursday, December 18, 2003, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Vincent McDonald, aged 90 years. Vincent leaves to cherish his memory his only son Lorne (Gail) grandchildren, Sandra (John), Darrell (Lora), Leanne, Jason (Karla) great-grandchildren, Chloe, Dustin, Derek, Justin, Jared and Jordan, all of British Columbia. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian in January 1999. Vincent was born in Selkirk on August 14, 1913, the only son of the late Minto McDonald and Bill Leonard. Vincent lived all his life in the Gonor area. He was employed at Fairfields and the Manitoba Rolling Mills, and in his later years he ran his own pool room, as he was an avid pool player himself. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 22 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the family members and good friends for all their support. As well, thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for all their care shown to Vincent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Rm. 1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
