DOROTHY ISABEL WELSH (nee STOREY) Suddenly on Wednesday, December 17, 2003, Dorothy Welsh passed away at the Grace Hospital, with her loving husband Howard at her side. Besides her husband Howard of 62 years, she will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Eleanor Brough of Idaho, Freida Carriere (Art) of Grand Beach; and her sisters-in-law, Marion Lord of Victoria, Elaine Welsh and Kathleen Powell; her nieces and nephews as well as her many friends acquired over the years. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother Bert Storey; and sisters, Beth Brough and Kay Owens. Before retirement Dorothy spent many years in the Accounting Department at Eatons. After retiring, she was able to indulge her passion for growing beautiful floral displays at their home and cottage at Star Lake. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. James Anglican Church, serving on the Altar Guild and the Anglican Church Womens Group. She was a loving and devoted wife to Howard and a kind and generous friend to her many friends, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St. There will be a private interment service. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Catherine McFarlane of the Salvation Army and the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to the St. James Anglican Church Memorial Fund, 195 Collegiate St. or a charity of their choice.
