OLLY BENTLEY With her hands held in mine, my beloved mother Olly Bentley, aged 81, loving wife of Richard (Lloyd) passed peacefully on November 24, 2003 at North Memorial Hospice in Minneapolis. Knowing the end was near, she gave her love and good-byes as best she could to her family and friends far and near. Richard has lost his love and lifetime partner but the memories will remain in his heart. Her parents, Dymetro and Pauline, sisters, Rose and Millie and brother Robert predeceased her. To remember her smile, her kindness, her loving heart, to celebrate her life; husband Richard; daughter "Patsy"; grandson Mitchell Burlock; granddaughters, Kim Burlock, Tricia Novak; great-granddaughters, Rachel and Emily Burlock; niece Judy (Peter) Koch; nephews, Tom Premak, Bob (Judy) Turner and family, Jim (Carol) Turner and family, Bill (Darlene) Turner and family. Mom had a special place in her heart for you all. Thank you Bob and Judy for your support and kindness during that difficult time. We are grateful to the dedicated staff of North Memorial Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. To Dr. Stuart Bloom, you held her hands, told her only truths; you are a "special" man. I was blessed to be your daughter Mom; for that I am forever grateful; we are together in love and spirit always as we were in your lifetime. Mothers are a gift from God; they are meant to be loved and cherished and held in our hearts forever. Private cremation has taken place.

  • I am still very still very sad that we have lost so many good people. This is a beautifully written obituary. I often think about Uncle Lloyd and Aunty Olly. Uncle Lloyd must still be lost without her. - Posted by: Cheryl Matthewman (Niece) on: Sep 21, 2012
