Date of Passing: Dec 18, 2003
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE MILLISON DUNHAM (nee WILSON) Peacefully, on December 18, 2003 at the age of 90, Irene Dunham passed away. Irene was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Clarence Ernest Dunham in 1997 and her only son Walter of Regina, in 1996. She is survived by one brother, Arthur Wilson of Winnipeg; a granddaughter Kelly Dunham of Regina and special nieces, Marie Martin of Morden, MB and Glady-Ann Stephen of Kenora, ON, as well as many other nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, Kenora and England. Special thanks to Claudette and Edwina, her companions, who spent special hours with her and to the staff at Poseidon Care Centre. Irene was very fond of songs and poetry and this poem was in her box of treasures. Time is not measured by the years that you live But by the deeds that you do and the joy that you give - And each day as it comes brings a chance to each one To love to the fullest, leaving nothing undone, That would brighten the life or lighten the load Of some weary traveller lost on Lifes road - So what does it matter how long we may live If as long as we live we unselfishly give. As requested, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held in the spring /summer of 2004. Should friends so desire, donations may be made, in her memory, to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of choice.
