CORA LEIGH RUTH McKENZIE Tragically on December 17, 2003 on her road trip to Saskatoon, Cora Leigh Ruth McKenzie was in a car accident near Moosomin and died at the age of 18 years old. Cora will be in our hearts forever. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Owen and Paula McKenzie; her sister Gail; and brother Adam; her extended family and a whole host of wonderful friends who supported her endeavours. It is with intense sadness that we announce her death. Friends may call at the McKenzie Portage Funeral Chapel between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, December 21, for a first farewell. The funeral to remember and celebrate Coras short life will be held on Monday, December 22 at Trinity United Church, 15 Tupper St. S., Portage la Prairie, with Rev. Julie Baker officiating at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Burnside Cemetery west of Portage. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Coras memory to Valleyview Bible Camp, Box 430, MacGregor, MB R0H 0J0 or to a Christian charity of their choice. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Cora by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements. 857-4021.
