Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA PAMMER (nee SZEMETI) 1936 - 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother on Thursday, December 18, 2003. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 41 years Imre, daughter Teresa and son-in-law John Hoffman, her beloved granddaughter Madeline, brother and sister Jozsef Szemeti and Erzsebet Laszlo of Hungary, brothers and sisters-in-law, Erno and Marika Pammer, Veronika Pammer, Emilia Holocsi, Tercsi Kovacs, Marti and Pista Szabo, and numerous nephews and nieces in both Canada and Europe. Maria was born on October 25, 1936 in Gyor, Hungary. She immigrated to Canada in 1957 and met her husband Imre in Winnipeg. Her life revolved around her family. She gave selflessly of herself to their needs and was a gracious hostess to all who visited her home. In addition to her devotion to her family, Maria loved to cook, garden, play cards and spend each summer at the cottage with her friends and family. One of the happiest days of her life was the day Madeline was born. From that day until her passing, she cherished every moment with her, loving and spoiling her and angelically caring for her beloved husband, who suffers from Parkinsons Disease. Prayers will be said on Monday, December 22, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 23, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Church, 365 Burnell St. with Fr. Stan Gacek officiating. Dear God, take a message to my Nagymama up above. Tell her how much I miss her and give her all my love. At the age of three, I shed these tears Because we loved a lifetime in three short years. Nagymama, I dont know why you had to go? Was it because Jesus called you so? I called to you to come and play, But Daddy said you couldnt stay. I know I cant see or hug and kiss you goodnight, But deep down in my heart I know everything will be alright. There is a new star in Heaven shining down so bright. I now have a special angel watching over me tonight. In the years that come and as I grow, I will think of you often and stop and smile, Just to let you know I love you Nagymama And always will. - Your Arany Csillag, Madeline In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Parkinsons Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Anyu we will always love and cherish you in our hearts forever Nyugodjal Bekebe Sok Szeretettel a Csaladod CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
