WALTER SULO WAUHKONEN February 12, 1930 - December 10, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Sulo Wauhkonen of Watson Lake, Yukon Territory on Wednesday, December 10, 2003. He is mourned by his daughter Anna Maria of Winnipeg, MB; son Walter (Lynn, Zachary, Haley, Blake) granddaughters, Kassandra Leigh and Emily Margaret of Edmonton, AB and son Daniel. Also left to cherish his memory are sisters, Sylvi Niemi of Selkirk, MB, Elsie Johnson of Rorketon, MB, Marta Arpin of Thunder Bay, ON, Tine (Ross) Ritchie of Dauphin, MB, numerous nieces and nephews and friends both in the Yukon and British Columbia. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret in 1995. The family would like to thank Dr. Ikeji and the 2nd Floor Medical Ward Staff at Whitehorse General Hospital for their excellent care of Dad during his stay. A special thank you to Lynn Sutherland for her visits to Dad and her support to the family during his stay. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Should friends wish, donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society in the province/territory of their choice.
