RAYMOND "PAPPY" DOIRON Peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family, Raymond "Pappy" Doiron passed away Monday, December 22, 2003, in the St. Boniface Palliative Care at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his parents and three brothers. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Yvette; also survived by one son Gerry and Karen; by one daughter Suzanne, husband Gavin. Ray was employed with the Winnipeg Fire Department for 36 years. His retirement years were filled with the enjoyment of golfing, curling and bowling. A memorial service will be held in his memory on Monday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, with Father Ron Leger officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit, 8th Floor, with special thanks to Dr. Abbott and his staff Linda, Stan, Clare, Paul and Tracy and his homecare nurse Marie Ball and a special thank you to Aime for being there when Ray needed a friend.
