FREDERICK C. KRAHN June 23, 1925 - December 19, 2003 It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Fred Krahn of Winnipeg. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Kay; son Ken (Maria) and grandchildren, Jeff and Kristen of Windsor, ON; daughter Jeanne (Mark) Matthewson; and grandsons, Jesse, Shane and Graeme; daughter Lavinia (Carson) Palidwor and granddaughters, Sabrina, Rebecca and Kassandra, great-grandson Brayden, many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Rev. Cornelius B. and Maria Krahn; brothers, Bernhard, Neil, George, Peter and sisters, Mary, Nettie, Katherine and Anne. Fred worked for Revenue Canada for 34 years until his retirement in 1987. He was an avid golfer and was a member at Pine Ridge Golf and Country Club for 30 years. Special thanks to CancerCare Manitoba and the doctors and staff on the 6th floor at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba; 675 McDermot, Winnipeg, R3E 0V9 or Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr.; Winnipeg, R3T 5K9. The service will be held Tuesday, December 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, 870 Carter (Stafford and Carter). Viewing will be held one hour before the service.
