Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE "MYRTE" HODGINS Peacefully on December 21, 2003 Myrtle passed away at Oakview Place at the age of 92. She was born on October 23, 1911 in Katrime, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Mabel Hodgins. Myrte is survived by her longtime friend Ann Bowman; her adopted niece Margo Nichol; and nephews, Robert, Brian and Barry Rodgers and their families. She graduated in 1934 from the Winnipeg General Hospital. Over the years she nursed in Winnipeg, Ninette and many years as administrator at Deer Lodge Centre. In her 50s she received her Bachelor of Nursing from McGill University. She loved curling, lawn bowling, golfing and travelling with her friend especially to Australia. Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will take place in Katrime Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or to a charity of ones choice.
