Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA MacKAY (nee MACHUGA) Suddenly, on Sunday, December 21, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Patricia was called home to be with her Heavenly Father. Patricia was born on December 13, 1943 in Winnipeg, the daughter of William Machuga and Anne Hrynkiw. They are now welcoming her with open arms. After graduating from West Kildonan Collegiate in 1960, she began to work at Canada Manpower where she remained for many years. She also worked at Deloittes until her marriage to Walter MacKay in 1973. Patricia leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her beloved children, Laura (Glen) and Colin; and husband Walter. She also leaves her dear sister Joanne Coombs; special nieces Tamara (Mark), Andrea and Jennifer; "other sister" Shirley Staub of Calgary, AB; numerous relatives and friends. Mom was a truly wonderful and warm lady who made many friends, especially her special comfort Bernice, and Adele. Although we grieve her loss, we celebrate her life, her accomplishments and all she gave of herself. She was an active member of St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church and its UCWLC; was one of the founding members of Outreach and a dedicated volunteer of the Blessed Velychkovsky Martyrs Shrine which was very special to her. Mom also had a love of writing and was published in 2001, something which made us very proud and happy. Most importantly though, she was a dedicated stay-at-home Mom. For her son Colin, she was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Autism Society as well as a member of numerous other organizations. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28 at St. Josephs Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 29 also at the church with a Redemptorist Father officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Sleep in Heavenly Peace A Good Place I wear my solitude like a warm blanket - gathering it around me - a comfortable fit. I sit in the quiet, savouring the calm atmosphere and I smile My road to this place was full of pain and sorrows But always with a hope of bright tomorrows. With faith and trust in God I learned to embrace my lifes journey. Now I am happy just being me. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
