Judi graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate and lived most of her life in Winnipeg. She lived for a brief period in Ottawa, ON where she had been a secretary in the office of the Minister of Defence. More recently Judi had been an active volunteer at the Quagga Cat Rescue and at Riverview Health Centre. Judi married Ken Greenhalgh and they had one son Paul. Judi later met and married her second husband, Ken Thomas, and although they too eventually separated, their love and friendship abided until the end. Judi was a devoted mother to her son Paul. She was known for her great sense of humour and indomitable spirit. Judi suffered all her adult life from chronic depression. She endured and fought to overcome the pain and limitations her illness imposed on her for over 30 years, before it finally overcame her. Her spirit and courage was a source of inspiration to those who loved her. In addition to the above, Judi will be deeply missed by her brother Doug (Brenda) and her nephew Jesse; her stepmother Laurine; stepsister Sharon; stepbrothers, Brent and Don, and many aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Judi was predeceased by her mother Esther and by her father George.
