Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK WIEBE Peacefully with his family by his side, Frank passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital on December 22, 2003. Frank was born to Cornelius and Elizabeth Wiebe in Morden, MB on October 8, 1928. In the early 1950s he and his family moved to Lockport, MB where he went into business at the Rendezvous Park. In 1958 he and his wife, Maryan built Canadas third A&W Drive Inn. In the following 30 years they both worked very hard in several businesses and always stayed in the Lockport area. It has been estimated that over 1,500 people at one time or another were employed by Frank. After the passing of Maryan in 1989, Frank stayed in Selkirk and eventually moved into the Knights Centre. He became very active in the Army and Navy, volunteering much time and effort towards this club. After a lengthy struggle with MS and a short battle with cancer, Frank has left us to again be with Maryan. Frank was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Maryan and leaves to mourn his passing, his son Douglas (Maureen) and grandsons, Troy and Chad; daughter Shelley Pedersen (Jan) and grandchildren, Maureen and Steven; stepson Donald Klassen (Gladys) and grandson, Michael; grandsons, Jason and Jerry from Calgary and Trevor from Winnipeg; five great-grandchildren; numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many longtime friends and his special companion for the last 12 years, Mary Myall. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Selkirk Lutheran Cemetery. WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO Cancer is so limited ....
