ROSE SINGER Peacefully on December 22, 2003 with her family at her side, Rose Singer passed away at the age of 86 years. Her beloved husband Ben predeceased Rose on December 15, 1993 after 40 years of marriage. She leaves to mourn her children, Marcia Buschau (Randy) and John (Heather). Rose was proud of her grandchildren, Nathan and Aaron Buschau and Jeni and Matthew Singer. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Rose worked at Pollock, Nurgitz, Skwarek, Bromley and Meyers for many years. She was later employed at Glendale Country Club and Park Realty. Mom was a talented seamstress sewing many clothes for herself and her family. She also liked knitting, crocheting and macrame. Mom enjoyed baking and was always sure to have treats for her grandchildren. Mom had a lifelong love of animals, especially cats. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 24 at Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson Ave. East. Interment will follow at Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Roses grandsons, Nathan, Aaron and Matthew, her nephew, Glen Ross and her great-nephews, Michael and Ryan Keller. Honorary pallbearer will be her great-nephew Kristopher Sorensen. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Donwood Manor where Rose has resided since December 2001. Your care and compassion, especially over the past two weeks, will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roses memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
