Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY HILL It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather on December 23, 2003. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years Ann, his sons, Norman (Wanda) and Garry (Holly) his daughter Colleen (Murray) Skrepich; four grandchildren Shannon, Stacey, Julia and Angela. Also his brother Ed (Alice), sister Anita (Rube) Hicock and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Harvey was predeceased by his infant son Bruce and by his parents, Alex and Alvina. Harvey was born on August 8, 1929 in Chicago. In 1930, he moved with his parents to Whitemouth, MB where he grew up and worked with his dad in construction. In 1953 he married the love of his life, Ann-Mari Syversen and in 1957 they moved to Winnipeg. In 1960 Harvey started his own construction company and managed it until 1972. Harvey built many beautiful houses throughout the city. From 1972 until April 1992, he worked as a Construction Supervisor with the Province of Manitoba, Parks Branch. After retirement in 1992, Harvey enjoyed golfing, travelling and spending time with family and friends around the pool. Harvey and Ann also were always wonderful hosts to their relatives from Norway. Harvey enjoyed making wine and beer in the winter but mostly he loved having his family around him, particularly his four beautiful granddaughters. His quiet presence will certainly be missed but we are grateful for all of the wonderful memories we have. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Ward for making Harveys last days comfortable. Also many thanks to family and friends for all their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Monday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave.
