ANNE JEAN NORRIS nee TROWSDALE Anne Jean Norris passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 24, 2003 in Brandon General Hospital at the age of 78 years. She was the youngest of four children born to Ericka and Artimus Trowsdale. Anne attended Zamek school in Hadashville and later Teulon, MB. She married Fred Norris of McMunn, MB in August 1948 and together they raised two children. They moved to Winnipeg in 1960 where they resided until 1986. During these years Anne worked as a cook at Richardson Farms, the CNIB and later the Wheat Board until her retirement in 1986. Anne and Fred then moved back to McMunn where they enjoyed 15 years at their scenic property along the Birch River. They enjoyed seeing all the wildlife along the river. Anne and Fred moved to Brandon, MB in the fall of 2002. She loved us all so much and took a great deal of interest in everything we did. She was a great cook and we always enjoyed her meals. Her kind, gentle, quiet nature and understanding made it so easy to talk to her. Mom was a devoted, loving, giving, and beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be forever missed by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 55 years, Fred; daughter Sandra (Roy) McTavish of Rapid City, MB; grand-daughter Cheri (Troy) Sylvester; great-granddaughters, Madison and Sarah of Minnedosa; grandson Brent McTavish of Rapid City; son Reginald (Diane) Norris of Winnipeg; brother Walter (Arlie) Trowsdale of Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Mabel Nakka of McMunn, Sadie Trowsdale and Arlie (Walter) Trowsdale of Winnipeg, Verona Norris of Carman and many nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Ericka and Artimus Trowsdale; brother Chesley; sister Alice Davidson; sisters-in-law, Vera Nakka, Linda Norris, brothers-in-law, Norman Davidson, Ernest Nakka, William Nakka, Ormand Norris, Arthur Norris, Gordon Norris, and niece Beverley Gourlay. A celebration of Annes life will be held on Tuesday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, #1 Highway East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Annes memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. We all lived in hope, we prayed in vain, That God would make you well again, Tired and weary you made no fuss, But tried so hard to stay with us. We knew that we would lose you, We thought we were prepared, We told you how we loved you, And how much we really cared. But nothing could prepare us, For the loss we feel today, When you left you werent alone, You took part of us away. "To us you are so special, what more is there to say, Except to say with all our hearts We wanted you to stay". GREEN ACRES Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematorium Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, 222-3241
