MARGARET EISLER After a courageous battle with cancer, Margaret passed away on Monday, December 16, 2003 at the Souris Hospital with family at her side. Margaret was born September 23, 1942, the third daughter of Nellie Eisler and the late John Eisler. Margaret was a dedicated Legal Secretary working for Corne & Corne in Winnipeg for almost 40 years. Margaret loved her flowers and yard. She also loved animals - especially her dog Sandi. Margaret was an avid Blue Bomber, Winnipeg Jets, and Elvis Presley fan. Margaret was predeceased by her fiance John Bilan in 1971 and her dad John Eisler in 1973. Margaret leaves to mourn her mother Nellie; sisters, Elsie (Fred Kruk), Alice (Walter) Hale, Teenie (Mickey) Carlisle; her treasured 11 nieces and nephews; and 21 great-nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and neighbour, Freida Rothenberger. Funeral services were held Friday, December 19 from St. Pauls United Church, with Rev. John Oldenkamp officiating. Pallbearers were her six nephews, Warren Hale, Paul Kruk, Darrel Carlisle, Darcy Carlisle, Brad Tanguay, and Nathan Berry. Interment followed in the Souris Cemetery. In Margarets memory donations may be made to the Souris Health Centre Palliative Care Unit or the Masonic Driver Program in Winnipeg. Arrangements were with Kowalchuks Funeral Home, Souris, Manitoba.
