FANNEY SIGUROSE ISFELD (nee ISFJORD) December 15, 1912 - December 25, 2003 Peacefully after a sudden illness, Fanney Isfeld passed away on December 25, 2003 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. Fanney was predeceased by her husband Johnny in 1982, her brother Norman and four sisters, Gavrose, Groa, Thelma and Sigrun. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Maria (Vern) Frantz of Sardis, BC; son Robert (Gudrun) of Gimli; son Allan (June) of Gimli and daughter Audrey (Fred) White of Morinville, AB. She also leaves 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her special friend Haddi Peterson. Fanney was born in the Minerva District, daughter of the late Thordur and Margaret Isfjord. She married Johnny in 1930 and lived in Gimli all her life. The last 3 years she resided at Betel Home. Fanney was a very hard worker, spending many years along side her husband running a mink ranch, the Allan Dale Fur Farm. Her door was always open to family and friends. She was loved and respected by all. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church. Pastor Rainie McKinnon officiating. Interment to follow at the Gimli Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Elert, Norman, Marvin and Herman Isfjord and grandsons, Larry Frantz and Russell Isfeld. The family would like to thank the staff at Betel for their loving care and compassion and also to Dr. Chapnick and staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
