MARJORIE FLORENCE MILNE Peacefully, Marjorie Florence Milne passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2003, at the Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 97 years. The eldest of five children, Marjorie was born in Winnipeg on January 17, 1906 to William and Florence Smith. After completing school, Marjorie went to work for the T. Eaton Co. for several years. She then moved to the Hudsons Bay Store where she remained until she was married in 1930. Marjorie spent most of her married life in West Kildonan where she raised her three children. She was very active in St. Annes Anglican Church and a past Worthy Matron in The Order of Eastern Star. In her later years, she entered The Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses where she made many long lasting friendships. Marjorie was very gifted with her knitting and sewing, resulting in many members of her extended family receiving gifts of her excellent work. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband George in 1989; sisters, Verna Smith (1915) and Jessie Bricknell (1996) brothers, George Smith (1989) and Norman Smith (2003) and a great-granddaughter Laura Di Lazzaro (1997). Remaining to cherish her memory are her three children, Verna Cundall (Ozzie), Stuart Milne (Betty) and Pat Koroscil (Don) seven grandchildren, Cynthia, Julie, Heather, Brian, Bruce, David and Catherine; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Milne and May Smith as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Our family wishes to extend our thanks to Golden West Centennial Lodge, especially the fifth floor staff, for their care, kindness and consideration.
