Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES HERBERT MITCHELL Peacefully on December 19, 2003 Jim passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre. He was born on December 10, 1921 and grew up in the Weston area of Winnipeg. Jim enlisted in the army at a very young age and with a few of his buddies was sent overseas to fight for his country. He made and lost many friends in Deippe, Belgium, Germany and England. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife Daisy and is survived by his children, Carol (Rick) Miller, Shirley Mitchell, Jim (Judy) Mitchell; grandchildren, Kim (Richard) Beil, Scott Miller, Luke Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Riley and Hannah Beil, Megan and Miranda Miller, Charlie Mitchell. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy (Art) Ruddock. He was also predeceased by his brother George. The family would like to thank all the people who cared for and helped Dad on 4 East Respiratory, Deer Lodge Centre. Cremation has taken place and a private funeral will be held. Donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
