Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE MARGARET BROWN (LAYCOCK) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother on Thursday, December 25, 2003 at Carman Memorial Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Murray, daughter Ruth (Bob Johnston), grandchildren, Erin and Jeff Johnston; sister Effie Wood and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ted in 1976. Margaret was born February 2, 1913 on the farm at Homewood, MB. She was the youngest of six children born to William and Margaret Laycock. She attended school in Homewood and taught piano lessons to many children in the community. On August 12, 1943, she was united in marriage with Ted Brown and they made their home in Carman. Margaret took a keen interest in her familys activities, always lending her support and encouragement. She loved to play cards, work in her flower beds and she was an avid Blue Jay fan. Her many needlepoint projects are lovingly displayed in her familys homes. Margaret was an Honorary Lifetime Member of Carman Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Carman United Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Carman United Church with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Private interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
