ROSE STEMPNICK Peacefully after a lengthy illness, on December 25, 2003, Rose Stempnick passed away at the age of 82 years. Roses memory will be cherished by her children, Gary (Joanne), Phil (Leslie), and Christine (Victor) Mikolayenko; grandchildren, Krista, Shanna, Wesley, Tracey, Burton, Michael, Melissa, and Damian; great-grandchildren, Kira and Leyah; sisters, Mary (Bud), Katie and Adeline; and brothers, Marvin (Lorraine), and Joseph (Sally), and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1997 and her son David in 2003. Rose was a very caring, loving and generous person. She was very talented in crocheting, knitting, cooking and gardening. Rose had a strong faith which was very important to her. She was very proud to be a member of the Catholic Womens League for many years. Rose enjoyed travelling, especially to Radium Hot Springs in the mountains, and Hawaii, with Dad. Above all, she cherished her family and enjoyed every precious moment spent with them. She touched the lives of many people and will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. James B. Johnston of CancerCare Manitoba for his care and dedication to Mom over the years. Prayers will be said on Monday, December 29 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church at the corner of Brazier and Munroe. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church.
