EMILE FROBISHER After a courageous battle with cancer, Emile, surrounded by his family, peacefully passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Josie; one son, Bob (Margaret) and five daughters, Claire (Ron), Judy, Jeanette, Bonnie (Kim), Tina (Darryl). He will be missed by his grandchildren, Keith (Dawn), Kris, Tracy (Dale), Kevin, Robbie (Stacy), Robyn (Pete), Jodi, Michael, Tyna, Jamie, Ryan, Jesse, Rachelle, and Kevin as well as his great-grandchildren, Brendan, Aaron, Skylar-Dawn, Sarah, Kaitlin, Taylor, Tyrell, Breanne and one expected. He is also survived by his sisters, Yvonne and Alice (Joe) one brother Fernand and many nieces, nephews and friends. Emile was born and raised with his seven brothers and two sisters in south St. Vital on Frobisher Road where he continued to live and raise his own family. He was loved and respected by all that met him and his home was always a welcoming place to spend time with family and friends. Most of Emiles life he worked as a truck driver, first at Gershmans Produce and then for Merchants Consolidated. Since his retirement, Emile has enjoyed his garden, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He was dedicated to looking after his wife. Viewing and prayers will take place on January 1, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. (viewing), 7:00 p.m. (prayers) at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Desmeurons St. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, January 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 252 Debuc. The service will conclude at the church with cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Michael Morfoot, Kevin Frobisher, Robbie Pilon, Kris Goderis, Keith Goderis and Ryan Deloli. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Deloli, Kim Morfoot, Darryl Budge, Hector Frobisher, George Frobisher, Alan Frobisher, and Peter Pilon - the Beav. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
