WINNIFRED (WINNIE) MCCAMMON Winnie passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at the Victoria General Hospital. She is survived by her children, Bryan (Carol), Sandy (Pat) and Harvey (Jan) her grandchildren, Kim Landman, Sherry Lagasse and Jeff McCammon, Mike Morris and Laurie Brown, Paul, Shelley and John McCammon; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jeff, Mitch, Emily, Jason and Jordan. Winnie was predeceased by her husband, John; brothers, Bert, Chuck and Bill; sisters, Lil, Marg and Babe. Winnie was a wonderful, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Our home was always "home" to our friends and family. Mom was a very hard worker and always put her family first. With Dads help, Mom helped raise her sisters after her parents passed. She was a great listener and provided guidance and comfort without hesitation. Mom enjoyed visiting with friends and walking. Mom, you most certainly will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Doris Skakun, Dr. Jain, the staffs of Central Park Lodge on Poseidon and the Victoria General Hospital for the care given Mom over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Winnies memory to CancerCare Manitoba ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dear Sandy. It is several years since we have been in touch. Several years, too, since your dear Mom passed away, and send you and your family my deepest sympathy. She was always so sweet and helpful when she was there in Merk’ s Drug Store. I met her a few times in Polo Park Mall later on and she was always so friendly and we would have a little chat. I live in Victoria B C now. I hope you see this and that you and your husband and children are living a happy life, - Posted by: Diane Jamieson (Friend) on: May 30, 2025
