ESTHER SHUSTER (nee GREENBERG) Esther Shuster passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on December 29, 2003. Esther is survived by her husband Murray; daughter Sara (Bob) son Harold (LeeAnne), son Steven (Ada) grandson Joshua; and Cynthia Devine and grandson Aidan. Esther is also survived by her only brother Lawrence; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Abe and Marie Greenberg. Esther was born in Winnipeg in 1932. She moved to Beausejour when she was nine and made that town her home. She married Murray in 1953 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Esther made many contributions to her community. She was an active volunteer with and founding board member of BeauServe Homes, a facility for the mentally handicapped. Esther worked in the local high school for over 25 years, first as a substitute teacher and then as teachers aide. After retirement from the school, Esther was a regular volunteer at the community library. For the past seven years Esther was an active grandparent. Esther was committed to the principles of tolerance, acceptance and community. She has passed along those values to her family and all those who have come to know her. Esther was an exceptionally kind, generous and caring individual. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Garth Campbell and the entire staff of the Beausejour Health Centre. Their kind and loving care kept Esther comfortable until her passing. As well we wish to thank Dr. Gerald Minuk and the staff at the Health Sciences Centre Liver Clinic for all their support and understanding.
