Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER DUMANSKI It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved uncle, Walter Dumanski on Wednesday, December 31, 2003. Walter was born in Winnipeg on August 26, 1913. During most of his adult life, he resided with his loving sister Olga and her husband William Dudar and their family. Uncle Walter was an integral part of our immediate family, and he cherished the time spent with us. He retired from Canada Packers in 1978 after more than four decades of loyal service. For many years following his retirement, Walter enjoyed his volunteer work at the age and opportunity seniors centre. During the last five years, Walter resided at Holy Family Nursing Home where he eagerly partook of many activities, and where he continued to demonstrate the strength and independence of his character. He was also a faithful longtime member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Walter was predeceased by his parents, John and Frances; sister Katherine; dear sister Olga; brother-in-law William; and nephew John Dudar. Walter leaves to mourn his passing his two special nieces, Lorraine (David) Smith, and Janice (Randall) Gray; one brother Anthony (Mary) and several other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. L. Chung for the care and attention given to our uncle. Also we are truly thankful for the love, care and compassion given to Uncle Walter by all the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home. A special thank you to health care aid Bonnie and nurse Kathy. Prayers will be sung on Wednesday, January 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave., with Rt. Rev. Mitrat G. Oucharyk officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Randall Gray, Edward Dumanski, Christopher Dueck, and Bruce Guyda.
