ALBERT ROSEN January 5, 1910 - December 29, 2003 Albert Rosen passed away peacefully on December 29, 2003 at the Tabor Home in Morden within a week of his 94th birthday. He is survived by his children, Adele Phillips of Winnipeg, Gloria (Philip) Kenny of Vancouver, Dorothy (Steve) Diduch of Calgary, Sharon (Myron) Fehr of Morden, Russell (Doreen) of Winnipeg and Douglas (Bonnie) of Plumas; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Mary; sisters, Paulina, Amelia, Helen, Ethel and Frieda; brothers, Ferdinand, Julius and Samuel. Albert was born and raised in the 1-6 District southwest of Morden. This is where he met Mary Niebergall and they were married on June 26, 1940. They farmed in communities around Morden and Manitou. Upon retirement, they moved to Morden. In his final years he was a resident at the Tabor Home. He was a very generous man and always tried to live within his strong Christian values. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His interests included visiting with friends and relatives, car rides, eating out, music, dancing and horses. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Marvin Dengl, Stan Brunn and Jim Reichert and grandsons, Wade Rosen, Kelvin Batke and Robin Diduch. Honorary pallbearers are George Froese, Walter Miller and Arnold Wood. Viewing will take place on Thursday January 1, 2004 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel 1050 Thornhill St. in Morden and at the chapel prior to the service. The funeral service will be held on Friday January 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Chapel with Rev. Morris Vincent officiating. Interment at the Chapel Cemetery and a fellowship lunch will follow. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Tabor Home for the excellent care that was given our Dad during his five plus years as a resident at the facility. Floral tributes are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Tabor Home 230 9th Street South Morden, MB R6M 1Y3 or a charity of their choice.
