UNNUR CLAIRE WATSON (nee OLSON) Claire died peacefully in her 96th year on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 of old age. She is survived by daughter Signy Carson; son-in-law John Carson; grandsons, John and Stewart Carson; granddaughter-in-law Dianne Carson and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Bryn. She was predeceased by her husband James in 1974. Her character was marked by an incredible self discipline and a will to make her life, and that of her family and others better. She was 20 years ahead of the social movement to seek equality for women as demonstrated by her achievements in the health care field. Clare was the rock in the greater Olson family during and beyond the Second World War years. At her request, there will not be a service.
