ALFRED "BUTCH" HOEFER It is with heavy hearts the family announce the sudden passing of Butch (Alfred Hoefer) loved and devoted son, brother, father and friend to many. He was predeceased by his (brothers) Willy Hoefer and Ken Hoefer, (father) Jochium Hoefer and (nephews) Dale Hoefer and Danny Chartrand. Butch will be lovingly remembered by his mother Lilian Hoefer (St Anne, MB) daughter Carrie Hoefer (Dave Mc Donald), daughter Julie Hoefer (Glenda Larocque) and grandchildren, Jordan and Joseph; brother Dick Hoefer (family) sisters, Maureen (George) Greenlay, Helen Poschner (family), Bev (George) St Vincent, Carol (Len) Welsh and Margrete White (family) as well as many special nieces and nephews. Butch was born in Moose Jaw, SK on July 10, 1952, moving several times through the years to make Brandon his home. His growing up years entailed many incredible escapades and journeys which enabled him to establish many loved friends. He was top salesman for International Exteriors for over 10 years, and received many awards. Butch was very loving and giving, and there was no one turned away when in need. Most of all he loved life, his family and friends. He loved unconditionally, enjoyed laughter and a good prank and was always encouraging others who would join in the fun. He especially loved his music and would take great joy in sharing it with others into the wee hours of the morning. Even though he had many joys he also travelled a road with many struggles and burdens that at times would weigh on his heart to find peace. He has found his peace now and the family asks that in lieu of flowers we gather in his memory to share the joy that he brought to all of us. A time of visitation will be held at the Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, 332-8th St., Brandon on Monday, January 5, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Tuesday, January 6 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Harold Nightingale officiating. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com. Arrangements are in care of Brockie Donovan, Brandon, 727-0694.
