LILAS R. HOOD It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our Mum, Lilas R. Hood on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the Vista Park Lodge at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her daughters, Dyane (Peter) and Terry (Louie) son, Grant (Louise) grandchildren, Leanne, Jeff, Marc and Ryan; and great-grandson Jordan. Lilas was predeceased by her husband Jack Hood; brothers, Milton and Stuart Hannah; sister Pearl Hannah; parents, Rhoda B. and John W. Hannah. Mum was an avid badminton player, she won many trophies during the 30s and 40s. In her later years, tennis was Mums passion. Mum never missed a tennis tournament on T.V. In compliance with Mums wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Our family would like to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for the wonderful care they gave Mum, especially Mums two favourite nurses, Jackie and Vicky. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lilas memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB. R3L 0K6.
