JOSEPH PHILIPPE VICTOR PAGE It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the age of 74 years. Victor is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis; his three children, Darlene (Lionel), Gregory, and Patti (Tony) along with his loving grandchildren, Renee, Janelle "Tiger", Kyle, Jennifer (John), Cari Ann, Gregory Jr., Tera, Brandon, and Laryssa. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Marie, Audrey, Terry (Bert) and numerous nieces and nephews. All those who knew him will feel the loss of a truly caring man. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Emma Page; brother Roland; and sisters, Doris Bage and Lucy Coles. Victor was born and raised in St. Francis Xavier. He later moved to Winnipeg where he made a career as a printer. He began working at Stovells, and then Steven Paints. For a brief time, he had his own printing shop, Superior Printing and then worked for many local printing firms throughout the rest of his working life. Victor was a kind and giving man with his time and skills, and was deeply devoted to his family, sisters, nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, storytelling, and mischievous smiles, as well as his wonderful talent at guitar playing and singing at many family gatherings. He carried himself with an undeniable air of style, presence and good manners. We wish to thank the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services and the Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency department for their care. Also, special thanks to Dr. L. Chung, and Dr. J. Azevedo (St. Boniface Hospital), and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Home Care Unit. In accordance with Victors wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., Winnipeg, MB R2X 2X8. Interment to follow at a later date. If desired, donations can be made in Victors memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. "We love you and will miss you always."
