THOMASINA (TOMMIE) WRIGHT (nee MARSHALL) It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Thomasina, at the Victoria General Hospital, on December 31, 2003 at the age of 92 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 69 years, Jim; her son Bruce (Frances), grandsons Brian and Robert all of Vancouver. She was predeceased by her son Brian; one brother John (Nellie) and four sisters, Martha (Jim), Minnie (George), Wilhelmina (Edgar) and Irene (Bill). She will also be remembered by daughter-in-law Margaret, of Edmonton, as well as many nieces and nephews. Thomasina, Jim and family loved to travel and spent 20 years of vacations at Bruce and Frans home in Arizona. Thomasina said the highlight of her life was after her retirement from the Provincial Government when she was able to spend her winter months in Arizona. She was a kind and gentle person whose family always came first. Thomasina enjoyed knitting and crocheting. In earlier years she was an active volunteer for the Red Cross and March of Dimes. She enjoyed badminton, golf and was Past President of the Fort Rouge Ladies Curling Club. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends or relatives so desire, a donation may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 302 - 171 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1M4. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care afforded by Dr. F.
