Alice was born May 2, 1926 in the Gladstone, Manitoba area where she spent her childhood. There she met Alf and in 1948 they were married and moved to Winnipeg. During the Second World War she served in the army and became a member of the Legion. As well as raising her own children, Alice was a foster mother to many children for several years, and later worked as a school bus driver. Upon retirement, Alice and Alf moved to their lake front home near Lac du Bonnet where they lived for several years. They traveled extensively throughout their retirement years and for 14 years enjoyed their winters in Texas. Alices passion was golfing and she loved clogging, dancing and baking for others. Her devotion to her family and friends, her smile, youthful energy and zest for life will always be remembered and treasured. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joan Jarvis officiating. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and interment will also be held at a later date for the family and the many friends unable to attend at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alices memory may be made to a charity of choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 1442 MAIN ST. 586-8044
