Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIBEE LILY KNAZ (nee POSNER) January 4, 2004, 12:30 a.m., passed peacefully at age 89. Beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survived by daughters, Saundra Friedman (Donald) and Alecia Levin. Sister Bea Kaplan. Grandson Ari Friedman (Robin). Great-granddaughter Lillian. Granddaughter Joanna Ferdman (Mark). Libee was predeceased by her husband Morris. Special thanks from Saundra and Don (New York City) and Alecia Levin (Vancouver) to their cousin Susan Kay for her kindness, care and unwavering devotion to Libee for all the years we were not in Winnipeg. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital, Seven Oaks Hospital and all the care givers at the Portsmouth Residence as well as the Sharon Home on Magnus for the compassionate care shown to Libee. Particularly noteworthy were the private care givers who attended Libee, too many to list here. We are forever indebted to you all for your deep concern and sweetness towards Libee and her family at this difficult time. We want to thank Lynne Fineman from Successful Aging for all of her help and understanding these last years. Her knowledge about this process and her deep concern are greatly appreciated. Libee was famous for her excellent knishes and kreplach, her beautiful and delicious baked goods and her expert knitting and housekeeping. She was passionate in her love for her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Graveside service will be today, Monday, January 5 at 2:45 p.m. at the Rosh Pina Cemetery, Section A, Plot 124. Pallbearers are Susan Kay, Marla Kaplan, Murray Posner, Ian Kay, Andrew Kaplan and Aaron Kay.
