TINA (BLOCK) REIMER 1909 - 2004 It is with great sadness that the family of Tina Reimer (Block) announces her passing on the morning of Sunday, January 4, 2004. She was predeceased by her parents; by her husband Heinrich (1945) by her sisters, Neta (1995), Lena (1996) and by her brother Abram (1998). Left to cherish her memory are her son Henry (Kay) granddaughters, Katie Cook (Glenn), Barbara Phillips (Fred), and Karin Rossow (Curtis) and great-grandsons, David (14), Harrison (6), Daniel (4), Adam (4), and Jordan (2). Tina will also be remembered by nephew Nick Dyck (Lina), cousin Cornelius Andres (Anni) and by various friends. Tina was born on May 1, 1909, in Nikolaipol, Russia to Abram and Helena Block. She was baptized May 1, 1927, and was married to Heinrich Reimer in 1936. A son, Henry, was born to them in 1937. Tina and Henry fled Russia in 1943, lived in Germany for five years and immigrated to Canada in 1948. After settling in Winnipeg, she worked for many years as a seamstress in the garment industry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. Interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens after the service. We, the family, would like to thank all the staff at the Menno Home in Grunthal, MB for their wonderful personal care that they gave to Tina. They are greatly appreciated.
