BETTY WOLFSON (nee LANDAU) March 9, 1913 - January 3, 2004 Betty died peacefully at Victoria General Hospital. Left to mourn her passing are her son Gary Wolfson; daughter Sarah Armstrong (Jim) granddaughter Esther Westbrook. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, friends and staff at the Waverley. Betty was predeceased by her husband Thomas Wolfson (February 1, 1981), her sister Lula Saunders and her twin Anne Snider. Betty will be remembered for her beauty, style, sense of fun, infectious laughter and generosity. Betty had been President of the Lillian Freeman Chapter of Hadassah; involved with Ben Gurion University and National Council of Jewish Women. She gave generously to many charitable organizations in Winnipeg and Israel. Funeral at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue Tuesday, January 6 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba.
