MARGARET CHAYE Peacefully on January 4, 2004 at the Health Sciences Centre, Margaret Chaye passed away at the age of 63, with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Stan; her children, Lori Hagman (Jeff), Randy Chaye (Tanya), Sherri Fawcett (Jeff) her wonderful grandchildren who she adored and treasured, Morgan and Rachel Chaye, Jared and Taylor Fawcett. Margaret will also be sadly missed by her brother Ron Kancylarski (Conny) sisters, Fran Danko (Dennis) and Ivy Kolbuch (Joe) as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Stan and Jennie Kancylarski; step-father Monk Magas; nephew Duane Kolbuch. Margaret was born on November 23, 1940 in Winnipeg and grew up in Oak Hammock, MB until the age of three, after her fathers passing, they moved to Stony Mountain. The family later moved to Rossdale. She married Stan on August 5, 1961 where they resided in Lockport, MB and raised their three children. Margarets foremost passion in life was her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and was a great supporter of the Lotto 6/49. Margaret was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She had a great zest for life and enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Peter Baxter, Jerry Culleton, Tim Fawcett, Glen Kormilo, Eric Leach, and Darrell Penner. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2004 at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, MB. The funeral mass will be officiated by Fr. Wardzinski on Saturday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Notre Dame Catholic Church Building Fund, 269 Jemima St., Selkirk, MB R1A 1W9 or a charity of your choice. The family would also greatly appreciate your support in giving to your local blood bank. Mom/Nana, we will keep our eyes open for the lucky pennies from heaven.
