HERBERT BARTEL October 26, 1921 - January 3, 2004 Herbert passed away suddenly on January 3, 2004 at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Magdalena; sons and daughters, Otto, Werner (Jo-Anne), Anna (Harold Epp), Martin (Phyllis), Lydia, Karl; 14 grandchildren; brothers; sisters and their families. He was characterized by a life of integrity and an unmoving faith in God. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m., at the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield St. at Sargent, with interment in Brookside Cemetery. Viewing, Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Klassen Funeral Chapel and at the church, prior to the service.
