BEVERLY BROWNLOW BROWN On Monday, January 5, 2004 at the Grace General Hospital surrounded by her family, Beverly passed away. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1981; parents, Eva and Edward Ross; and her brother Lorne. She is survived by her children, Barry (Lynda) and Gord (Jan) grandchildren, Kevin (Amy), Alyson, Cody and Derek. She is also survived by her second husband Albert Brown of Florida. Bev was born in Winnipeg, attended Gordon Bell School and then went on to work for CN Rail. In 1948 she married Don, after which they built a house in Silver Heights where she resided until 1995. They had a happy life together for 32 years until his untimely death. Before their retirement, Bev was a member of the St. James ladies bowling league, the Deer Lodge Curling Club, a member of the West Winnipeg Ladies Rotary Club, a member of St. Charles Country Club and her bridge club of fifty years. Bev loved her summers at the lake (Albert Beach), where she has been a summer resident for the last 47 years and her winters in Florida (Sarasota and most recently Venice). In 2001, she married Albert Brown (Brownie) of Florida. Beverlys family would like to thank the staff of the fifth floor of the Grace Hospital as well as the staff of the Charleswood Care Centre. A special thanks to Deacon Harold Graham for all his support and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception will follow. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, they may make a donation in Beverlys name to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
