Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MARY DAVIES (nee WILLIAMS) August 23, 1912 - December 28, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Nana, early Sunday morning, December 28, 2003 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 91 years. Leaving to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Kimberley (and family), Allison Davies, Lana (John) Wiebe and Dax Davies (of Calgary) her great grandchildren, Danielle, Angela, Shawn, Christian, Madison, Samantha and Tristan; as well as friends and extended family in Wales and England. She was predeceased by her only son Kenneth, and her grandson Michael. Gladys was born in Llandebie, Wales in 1912, and came to Canada on the S.S. Aquitania in May of 1948. Gladys lived in the same area in Toronto for 55 years, and recently moved to Winnipeg to be with her family. She will always be remembered for her quiet kindness and her love of books. A celebration of Gladys life was held on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in Evangel Chapel, 1073 St. Marys Road. Our family would like to extend a special thanks to Peter and Doreen Letkeman for their prayers and invaluable assistance during this sad time. I am both saddened and thankful to have found this notice of celebration for my 'Little Grandma'. I have searched for years to find any information about my father, Ken, and his family but to no avail. Please pass this on to her family with my deepest sympathy for their loss. I am so sad to read it is too late for me to meet my father or brother Michael, so much loss in one family. I would very much like to connect with any family member willing to share photos and stories with me. Peace and blessings, Kimberley I will call in the morning in hopes of gaining more information.
