Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN DOLINSKY Suddenly following a brief illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Dolinsky with his family by his side on January 4, 2004. John passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 81 years. John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Lillian; children, Garry (Isolina), Pat (Gordon), William (Geri) grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Jonathan and Scott. He is also survived by his brother Nestor (Vicky) sister Vicky (Paul) and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Bill and Mary Dolinsky and brother Bert Dolinsky. John was born January 25, 1922 in Ethelbert, he grew up in Rapid City, as a teenager moved to Pine River where he played in a band. John served in the Second World War and later married Lillian Kolodichuk in 1948. He worked in Flin Flon for H.B.M.& S. Co. for 35 years, during this time they were blessed with three children, Garry, Pat and William. Upon his retirement in 1979 John and Lillian moved from Flin Flon to Dauphin, where they resided until 2003 and then moved to Winnipeg. John was a loving husband and father, he always loved to help his children, he was an avid gardener, fisher and outdoors man. John was a member of the Dauphin Legion. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
