OLGA LANG "CHICKEN" (nee OSHANSKI) Aged 68 years, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2004 at St. Marys Medical Centre, Racine, Wisconsin. Olga was born in Winnipeg, MB, on October 23, 1935 to the late Phillip and Ann (nee Kolok) Oshanski. On September 10, 1955 in Selkirk, MB, she was united in marriage to Barry James Lang who preceded her in death on March 26, 1988. Barry and Olga moved their family from Selkirk to Racine, WI, in 1965. Olga had been employed by the Case Corp. as a keypunch operator. She also enjoyed working as a transportation specialist for Lincoln Lutheran where she went above and beyond the call of duty to make life easier for others. She was a loving and compassionate wife and mother placing all of her familys wants and needs in front of her own. Olga also was a dedicated neighbour and friend. She was generous with everyone she knew. Olga will be tremendously missed. When Olga wasnt taking care of her motherly duties, she enjoyed bowling. She also enjoyed golfing, travelling, watching the Green Bay Packers and was a very lucky gambler who frequented Las Vegas and Reno as many times as she could. Olga was also a member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are her children, Janice (Peter) Gumm of Racine, WI, Sandra (Jon) Stevens of Kansasville, WI, Chris Lang of Kenosha, WI, and Jeff (Wanda) Lang of Selkirk, MB; grandchildren, Corynn, Christopher, Jaimie, Taylor, Jesse, Loriann and Matthew; brothers and sisters, Nick (Kay) Oshanski, Lucy (Ted) Johnson, Jean (Wally) Schroeder, Peter, Helen, Freddie, Joe and Paul Oshanski and Deena (Merv) Oickle, brother-in-law Bob (Heather) Lang; sister-in-law Eleanor (Ed) Hawrush; and her faithful pets, Reno and Gypsy. Further surviving are many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to numerous to mention by name. In addition to her parents and husband, Olga was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Barry P. Gumm and brothers, Harry (Milly), Willy, Mike, Johnny Oshanski; and by an infant brother. Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Randall K. Bush officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In accordance with Olgas wishes, cremation will follow the services.
