Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN RICHARD HATLAND With tears streaming from our eyes as we write this and aching hearts we announce the passing of our dad, brother and uncle in the early hours of Wednesday, January 7, 2004. He was born May 25, 1957, at home in Lac du Bonnet. He moved to Winnipeg in his early 20s and had lived and worked there ever since. He had worked for the Manitoba Honey Co-op for 25 years and his mechanically-gifted abilities made him a very valuable employee. He only left his job this past spring when his illness forced him to retire. His valiant struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis will remain legendary with his family and friends. He never complained and to make things easier for his family he led us to believe he was better than he actually was. His only stay in hospital was the last 18 hours of his life. Norman was a dedicated and loving father to his four children, and a loyal brother, uncle and friend. We will miss him terribly. He leaves behind his love, Wanda; his children, Cory (Sarah), Jason (April), Justin and Angel (Mitch) his sister Netta (Chris) his brothers, Lui, Bill, Leonard (April) and Eddie (Gloria), his foster brother and lifelong friend Roy (Sherri) his Aunt Janet; and many nephews, nieces and friends; as well as numerous relatives from USA, Norway, Scotland, France and Australia. He was predeceased by his parents Ludvik and Ina Hatland; and his nephew Carson Balness. To others, Norman was of the world. To those of us who loved him, he was the world. REST EASY Our father was a great man And a perfect friend He had such a kind heart And now were apart.
