ROYDEN WOLFE McCAUGHEY 1914 - 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy McCaughey at Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the age of 89. Roy died peacefully with members of the family by his side. Roy was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1984. Roy will be sadly missed by his sisters, Nora and Billie; brother Neil (Joan) nephews, Bill, Grant (Michele) and Ian; niece Barbara McMullen (Clare) sister-in-law Ida; brother-in-law Greenway McClellan and cousins, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Roy was born in Winnipeg in 1914 and attended university at St Pauls College. Upon completion of his studies, Roy joined Canada Packers and served the company faithfully until his retirement. Roy and Mary were longtime residents of Fort Garry and enjoyed gardening around their home, attending Winnipeg Blue Bomber football games and golfing at the Breezy Bend Country Club. Roy enjoyed many winters curling at the Deer Lodge Curling Club. Roy was also an avid bridge player and a member of several bridge clubs, enjoying regular playing dates with his many friends. A memorial service will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 669 Broadway on Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
