LENA KUTNY 1913 - 2004 Peacefully, on January 8, 2004, Lena Kutny passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 90 years. Lena leaves to mourn her son Zenon (Diane) and family and one sister Jane. She was predeceased by her husband Steve and son Myron. Lena was born on November 8, 1913, in Colonsay, SK. After completing her education, she taught elementary and high school in Saskatchewan. She met and married Steve in 1941 and they made their home in Winnipeg. Lena was an active member of St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral including being a member of the choir for over forty years. She was also an active member of other Ukrainian Womens organizations. Lena spent much time in her garden and had a talent for growing flowers and vegetables. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 820 Burrows Avenue. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lenas memory to the St. Mary the Protectress Cathedral or to a charity of your choice. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
