CONSTANCE MOSHER September 28, 1925 - January 8, 2004 Carried on the wings of angels, Constance Mosher, our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, reunited with her dearly missed husband, F. Lt. (Retired) Kenneth Berton Mosher (June 20, 1987) son Robert Douglas Mosher (August 10, 2003) parents, Winifred (Thomas) Pitts and Albert Pitts and infant sister Doreen Elizabeth Pitts. Mum was loved and comforted at her bedside by children, Anthea, Sara, Debra, Jaime, Lisabeth, Phillip and Amanda; also by devoted daughter-in-law Karen Bryngelson; honourary son Greg Anderson and Rev. Ken Pawluk. Left to celebrate Connies life are grandchildren, Robert, James (Lorene Pangman), Cara, Daniel, Phillip, Jessica, Lisa, Kenneth, Gavin and Vanessa and great-grandchildren, Tristan, Cheynne and Dayton. She will be remembered by cousin Bertha Weiss, of Abbotsford, BC and cousins in England and Wales. Mum was born Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales and often spoke of her love for a giant of a man, her grandfather Ben Thomas. When Mum was five, her family moved to London, England where she lived through the war years. Mum joined the WAF in 1944 and served in Bad Eilsen, Germany in 1946. In April 1953, she met the love of her life husband Kenneth, who was stationed with the RCAF in England. They married six months later and were transferred to Canada in 1955, living in Barrie, Camp Borden, Goose Bay and Winnipeg. Mum was a prolific writer of poetry and prose. Possessed of a great sense of humour, she was a talented actor and an entertaining storyteller. Mum was skilled at sewing, knitting and embroidery. She was a fantastic cook! No one can bake pastry like our crusty mother. Mum owned Tasty Minit Foods Ltd. until she and Dad moved to the Beach. A 30-year resident of Winnipeg Beach, Mums home was a mecca for family and friends who gathered together to eat, drink and make merry. Our love goes out to those long-time friends including Debbie Sneve, Greg Anderson, Tara, Todd and Troy St. Laurent, Stewart Crerar, Lorraine and Marty Onefreychuk and Dora and John Carpenter. Mum loved keeping in touch with her friends from the old days N Libby Birch, Helen and Charles Norman, Willie and Bob Fell, Ruth Anthony, Ellis Friesen, Vicky Thornton, Madeline and Leo Harvey and Mabel Wade. Much love and thanks go to Gary Boyce, Grace Meconse, Eldon Hemminger, Tony Sklar, Guy Chamberlain, Geoff, Judy and George Mills, Renata and Tyrone Marsden. In accordance with Mums wishes, cremation has taken place. Our precious mother, a character and a force in this world, will be celebrated at St. Bartholomews Anglican Church, Churchill Road, Winnipeg Beach at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 13 with Rev. Ken Pawluk officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. At Mums request ... Low in the Earth I lived in realms of ore and stone; And then I smiled in many-tinted flowers; Then roving with the wild and wandering hours, Oer earth and air and oceans zone, In a new birth, I dived and flew And crept and ran, And all the secrets of my essence drew Within a form that brought them all to view .... And lo a man! And then my goal, Beyond the clouds, beyond the sky, In realms where none may change or die .... In angel form; and then away Beyond the bounds of night and day, And life and death, unseen or seen Where all that is hath ever been As one and whole. .... Rumi (Thadanis Translation)
