JOYCE ISOBEL BORDIAN Joyce Bordian, aged 79, Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 3, 2004 in the manor. Born February 17, 1924 in Winnipeg, MB, she was a daughter of the late David and Isabella (Walker) Wilson. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Joyce will be sadly missed by her son David (Donna) grandsons, Matthew and Wade, all of Cole Harbour. She was predeceased by her husband, John; sister, Margaret. The family is very grateful for the support given to Joyce by all of her friends during her illness with ALS. As well, the family extends a special thank you to the nurses and support staff of Unit C, Ocean View Manor for their dedication, love and care they provided for the past three years. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield St., Tony Maunder officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Joyces memory to ALS Society of Nova Scotia, 212-1161 Hollis St., Halifax NS B3H 2P6 would be appreciated.
