Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK ALEXANDER CHARLES Peacefully, at the Deer Lodge Centre, Jack Charles, age 81 passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2004. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Jean (nee Donald) of 54 years; daughter Brenda, husband Joe Globa and granddaughters, Ashley, Katlin and Meghan; son Stuart, wife Heather and granddaughter Nyssa. Jack was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. A veteran of the Second World War and the Korean War, Jack saw active duty in both Europe and Korea. He spent the rest of his military career in various postings in Canada and Europe, retiring in Winnipeg in 1970. The family would like to thank the staff of T3 at Deer Lodge Centre for the tender loving care shown to Jack and his family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2.
