CAPTAIN ROBERT MUCKLE Peacefully, on Friday, January 9, 2004, with his family at his side, Captain (retd) Robert (Bob) Montgomery Muckle CD (Canadian Forces Decoration), B Comm, CMMA (Certified Manitoba Municipal Administrator), aged 80 years, of Muckles Creek, Clandeboye, MB. He leaves surviving his wife Elizabeth (Betty) (nee Sibbald) Muckle, son Jim (Nancy) of Ottawa, daughter Betty Anne of Calgary, and son Alan (Jeannie) of Winlaw, BC; granddaughters, Katie Muckle, Jacquie Voisin (Paul), and Heather Anne Wright (Kevin) and great-granddaughter Ashley Marianne Voisin. He was a home builder, piper, accountant, traveller, family historian, problem solver, Korean War Veteran, Legionnaire, humourist, senior staff to Budi, chemist and scientist, curler, transporter, farmer, gardener, member of the Muckle Creek Golf and Country Club, longtime friend and neighbour of Clandeboye stalwarts, and proud resident of Meditation Manor on the right side of Muckles Creek. A memorial service in celebration of Roberts life will be held at Clandeboye United Church, Tuesday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Clandeboye with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Clandeboye United Church would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff of the Medical ICU at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
