JENNIE ANNE STIER It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Jennie Stier, on December 20, 2003. She was devoted to her family, friends, community, and Judaism. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son, Sheldon, and daughter-in-law, Valerie of Calgary, as well as many dear friends and family, and several generations of nieces and nephews. Jennie will be remembered for her many years in the hotel and hospitality industry, her devotion to her Synagogue, her lifetime membership of Hadassah-WIZO, her activities in the Canadian Restaurant Association, as a member of the Womens Sales and Advertising Association, her involvement in the Stay Young group and the Rosh Pina Sisterhood, as well as the Y.M.H.A. She was also a participating board member and first Social Director of the Gwen Sector Creative Living Center. Throughout her life, Jennies love of dancing was well-known. She excelled as an eager member of the Pattern Dancers. She loved to travel and enjoyed the company of good friends as she visited destinations worldwide. Jennie lived a very full and long life, and was privileged to know and bless many people, by her life. Her attitude and spunk were among her greatest traits. Her zest for life was an inspiration to all who knew her and her presence was always recognized by her wonderful HATS! Dont grieve for me, for now I am free Im following the path that God laid for me, I took His hand, when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found my place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembering the joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My lifes been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all that brief Dont lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me God wanted me now, He set me free. So long, farewell, til we meet again. Eternal be her memory!
